Same here. The realization that many of the people who are going to feel the worst in the next four years voted for what they got puts me at an uncomfortable peace. We tried.

They are self serving and those who see it have moved on, the m.s.m. has lost every shred of integrity because they won't say, "You're wrong about that!", when it counts.

And that's exactly how we ended up with trump. Half the country didn't watch the news prior to the election.

Me too! I even stopped watching the late-night talk shows and shows like SNL. I just don't wanna talk about him until he's actually in office and we have to worry about what he's doing and try to stop him.

100% agree. I'm 56 and tired of a lifetime of dedication to Democratic objectives and then to see our country fall to a fascist and our democracy disappear. I'm never again watching any TV news, canceled WaPo and NYT after reading daily for 30 years and will spend exactly five minutes per day from now on reading any type of news highlights. I refuse to say his name or let it into my brain. I'm going for ignorance of our downfall and am prepared for the end of our country. Just don't care.

Same. And I’ve heard this from so many people. It’s an odd coincidence that so many of us decided to do this on our own. We just turned it off. And, like you, I’m better for it.
