When I was 15, I cut my finger down to the bone with a knife I was using to clean a 3d printed part. My parents were out of town and my friends mom and my brother got me to the urgent care. I should have been crying about the fact that I could see my bone. Instead, I cried about the fact that we did not have insurance and my parents were going to yell at me. I needed 5 stitches and a decade later I still have the scar and remember watching my skin separate like a cavern down to my bone.
