Amazon adding the “tip your driver” feature so the middle class can help Bezos pay his employees is peak consumerism.

And a way to make sure the employee is taxed on it, tip in cash if you can!

If the driver rings my buzzer to get in the building even though they're delivering to my neighbor, do I get a share of the tip? Is it contingent on letting them in or is the annoyance factor enough for a percentage?

Most of the comments have missed the plot. It doesn’t matter if the drivers work for Amazon or a different company, or if the tips go directly to the driver. The drivers should be getting a fair and living wage from whatever company they are working for. End of conversation. Why do we as the consumer pay for the same service over and over?

Tipping has to be a tax deduction. We are either paying a wage or donating to charity. Make it a seperate line on our CC.
