A fairly large wallpaper company reached out to me a few months ago to be one of their artists. At first, I was elated because I’ve always wanted to design kids room wallpaper. But I felt so anxious signing a commission-based contract because the rate seemed really low and I honestly didn’t feel like my style fit with the designs they currently carried. At first, I tried to negotiate money upfront to be sure I would be paid fairly but they didn’t budge. I almost backed out entirely. 1/3
