Yes, but I can tell you, my universal healthcare taxes don't cost me 10k+ a year as insurance might, and still not promised the treatment I need 🤦♀️

the taxes for universal healthcare would probably be less than the price of monthly insurance… but you’d still get denied care for the insurance

People might not realize that I’m Canadian lol, this is obviously a critique of our neighbour’s current discourse and of the Canadians who aren’t appreciative of the system we have

Roads aren’t free. But they are totally affordable when we all pitch in….

People who make this argument literally can’t be trusted to dress themselves in the morning.

I’m American I’m genuinely curious as these are common things I hear about universal healthcare I’d like unbiased answers only, does it really take weeks to see a doctor or a specialist? Are the ERs always over crowded? Is cancer treatmeant good? Are taxes significantly higher? Are doctors paid less? Or is that all just lies to keep our system the way it is?

It’s great, I’ve never once paid for medical care, we don’t pay for prescriptions and we don’t pay for university education. But sure, America’s the greatest country in the world.
