Genuinely, long story short I started my job 5 days short of 99 days ago and don’t qualify for paid maternity leave (FMLA) but somehow I will qualify for paid baby bonding time (as long as I make it to 91 days, pray for me it’s next Tuesday) anyway I called HR and they kept talking about I HAD to take the unpaid maternity leave first (6-8 weeks depending on delivery) AND then I had to take my paid bonding time immediately after.
