My partner and I aren't having kids; we're the only ones in our extended friend groups not having kids. Over and over again we get the same questions:

"Won't you regret not having kids?" Do people regret not doing things they don't want to do? No, not really. Also, if we're going to be snarky here, don't you think some parents regret their choice? Why would my regret be worse than theirs?

I have never even thought to challenge my child free friends on their choice. As the friend that has children, I love all our child free friends and how they continue to be great friends but have also become awesome aunties/friends to my own children.

These questions are so insulting. I am a member of a religion where people are inclined to have a lot of kids, and my child-free status is incomprehensible to most people. Not wanting children is practically seen as a character flaw. No amount of explaining ever makes them understand so I’ve taken to just just staring deadpan around at their children then looking at them pointedly. They still don’t understand, but they at least stop talking to me about it. 😂

Feels like no one has thought more about the idea of having children than childfree people
