I’m seeing a lot of folks on here who aren’t from the US. That’s great since 1/3 of Americans have never visited a foreign country. When I was young, I too parroted the saying that the US is “the best.” Now after extensive travel, I don’t think any country is best. The US has MUCH to learn, to be a healthier and safer place.

2 小時內	missmeifei	I'm not from the US, but live there now. I had a massive reverse culture shock returning after I got widowed in 2021. I do feel like I moved backward in time. So much potential that was wasted because of that complacent "we are the best country in the world" attitude.

14 小時內	Rashmi Satapathy tamannarashmixx	To be totally fair, I have travelled and seen a lot of countries since 15/16 years of age, and I am 33 now. Not to toot anyone's horn, and all other countries have their merits & demerits, but I feel I can truthfully vouch that the US is probably the best of them all overall. It's just that a lot of perspective comes with maturity, to truly appreciate what the US excels at, and I don't feel this statement comes from a place of blind bragging but rather eye opening understanding.
