2/2. I was only supposed to be on it for a year but COVID happened and I was able to stay on it through the entirety of my treatment until 2023. Because Medicaid covered 100% of my costs, the doctors were able to expand my treatment and I am now 100% cancer free. This is the relapse they said would be the end of my life. Medicaid for All is the way to go. I worked hard and paid my taxes all my life. I shouldn’t have to die because a healthcare CEO wants to make more money.

Got on my state’s version of Medicaid and had outstanding care and zero bills. It saved my life and I still have my house instead of having to declare bankruptcy. And because it all happened during COVID I stayed on Medicaid through all the follow up. I am so grateful and more convinced than ever that Medicare for all is the way forward.
