Not enough info. 1. You are considering going back so there was probably no physical abuse. 2. You went home to mom so you are probably the one who left and took his child with you(yes it’s just as much his child as it is yours) 3. You both probably lack emotional intelligence so I’d be interested in hearing what you said that devastated him. 4. You both are accountable. Young lady, your former partners mentality shows he does not feel any concern about your or your child's mental, physical or emotional needs or well being. Do not wish for the feelings of your partner to be reciprocated. Live your life, yes there will be someone out there. I know, after a messy and confusing breakup of my first marriage, it took me almost 5 years to find my life companion. We have now been married over 35 years. It still feels like we are still on our honeymoon.
