pets legally are property in the united states. that doesn’t change the fact that we love them with our whole hearts, it just means that your pets are legally protected if someone fucks with them. calling them property doesn’t mean they get any less respect, compassion, or care. treat them like animals, love them like family, that is how you have happy pets. they do not care if they are our property, it doesn’t hurt their feelings, it protects them against shitty people.
