um no. In spite of my love for Jeff Goldblum, playing Ian Malcolm in every movie is distracting and takes me out of the story

Jeff Goldblum is creepy and gives me the ick. Every time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

"this actor only play as themselves" is a valid criticism only when it's detrimental to the character and i feel like that's a bigger problem in animation (where it's annoingly common to use celebrities as voice actors instead of actual competent VAs, i'm looking at you awkwafina) than anything else

Cool and Jeff goldblum feels like Jeff goldblum walked onto set one day and they decided to let him stick around. He does not at all feel like the wizard of oz, esp one that plans to use flying monkeys to enforce a police state. He didn’t feel like a snake oil salesman. He felt like a confused old man.
