Can you please normalize letting your child stay in their room or just be away from guests in general if they’re introverted or just simply express they don’t wanna be around people in that moment or that day. No one cares about your family traditions or “rEsPeCt” when it literally has nothing to do with that and everything to do with you as a parent caring more about your own child’s feelings and personality (possibly even their social anxiety) more than some guests. I agree, as a 26 year old adult I end up hiding in bedrooms even when I drive hours to visit my family lol..
