Speaking as someone half deaf from Rubella in utero during the last epidemic of it before a vaccine was invented and who could've easily been as blind and deaf as Helen Keller, all women of childbearing age, and preferably before that as children, should definitely get the MMR vaccine. You absolutely do not want to catch Rubella during pregnancy.
