Curious which city and bus it was, cause I’ve never seen anyone give up their seat to a senior on public transport here in Toronto ever. I am the only one doing it, and I’m from Europe.

This is rare. I ride public transit all the time. The young people sitting in the seats designated for people with disabilities and seniors are usually too focused on their phones to notice the old person struggling in front of them. I have had to ask them to give their seats. The idea that Canadians are unfailingly polite and helpful is becoming a myth.

I forget I'm a Senior and always offer my seat to people who are probably much younger than me. Canadian to the core! 🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦

But who ended up in the seat??

That will never happen in Toronto.

If anything, that sounds a very British thing.
