I distinctly remember in second grade writing a story and asked my teacher how to spell “of” so I could write “could of” (🤦‍♀️) and then vehemently disagreed with her that it was in fact “ov” because I thought she was trying to tell me to write “off” which made no sense. I wrote “could ov” and then when I got home and re-read it I realized I was being stupid and it was “could have” 😅 glad I learned that quickly!
