It turns out the father that raised us isn’t our biological father. But wait. It gets better. My twin sister and I have a different biological father than our younger sister. Our “fathers” all three are no longer alive and our mom has Alzheimer’s so we can’t get an explanation of this. Let’s hear your story.

Be careful what you wish for . My sister got a call a few years after her husband had passed. Turns out he had 3 half siblings he didn’t know about -one was only a few months different in age. His father was an asshole.

My dad served in the Korean War and I am just waiting. Because I am 100% convinced I have a half sibling in the Philippines, Tokyo, or Guam.

I've had mine done through both Ancestry and 23 & Me. They both say I have a tiny bit (0.5 to 1%) of Nigerian DNA. I can trace my ancestry to four Mayflower families, multiple Revolutionary Patriots, and one colonial governor on my mom's side. My dad's side all came to the U.S. in the mid-19th century from Bavaria. I have no clue where the Nigerian DNA might come from. Dad is dead, and mom refuses to give her DNA to the government.

My son did ancestry test, we were gutted to discover he's 100% Welsh. He was hoping for at least a drop of exotic blood...

Two of my girls did DNA. not too sure how scientific...

I found my half brother. We'd lost contact over 20 years ago. He lives in Tasmania. We spent a lovely weekend in October, in the town our family came from.

Me. I found a half brother I never knew existed - my mom's child. 😱. She kept the secret for 52 years. I had originally asked her which of her siblings had a baby in I didn't know about in 1969. Partly because the test said "possible first cousin" and because there's a lot of my aunt's and uncles on her side that have those secrets among others, but she was the pious, god following one. I was shocked to my core.

Found out my great grandfather had an affair because he had a Mexican daughter found through 23 and me. And I have cousins that are Mexican even though he was very much not Mexican. Talked to the daughter of this daughter and she said she asked her mom (the surprise child of my great grandfather) who remembered the “very nice man who owned the furniture store my parents bought furniture on layaway from” who was my great grandfather 💀
