Rip tide currents can take you out really quickly. If you don’t see the brake of the waves coming in, those are riptides going out. If the water seems calm in a certain area compared to what looks rough in the same beach. Those are riptides current going out. If you get caught in a riptide don’t panic and don’t swim against the current, swim parallel to the shore until you get out of them. Then swim back in.
