I’ve met some who don’t realize that I’m trans (and I don’t usually correct them about my identity for safety but will challenge what they’re saying)…a lot of people have met trans people and just don’t know.

Most people are at the very least passively transphobic until they do meet one.

The answer is no. Same with the people who want to ban drag shows. They forsure have never been to one.

They have, but they keep those meetings secret

Of course they haven’t. If they had, they’d understand that trans people ARE JUST PEOPLE.

Trans people I know are so chill and just living life honestly. They are so kind and live like any normal person. I know a lot of nonbinary people too and they are just as kind. Like they don’t hurt anyone and I promise they are nothing like the ones shown in media.

I think your thought process is exactly correct! I don't think that they ever have and humans are commonly afraid of things that are unfamiliar, and not understood... So I choose to be visible and vocal and friendly, so that people might be less afraid of the trans community!
