We already do tax the rich. And except in a few cases, it's the city or county that owns the stadiums, not the teams. Here in Kansas City, the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority (authorized by RSMO 64.920) owns and controls the stadiums for the Royals and Chiefs and leases them to their respective teams.
