I’ve written a few stories about solar power, heat pumps, etc, and you always have to talk about the financial savings. But honestly I’m so sick of having to justify worthwhile endeavors with an economic rationale. As if the only reason to support renewable energy or universal healthcare is if it saves money or creates jobs. Why isn’t “because it’s the right thing to do” enough of a motivation for more people?
