Just need to vent about this into the void! I was at an event yesterday with my fiancee and someone asked about a dog they saw, wondering the breed. I responded oh, it’s a Klee Klai, took my free sample of cider and went on. So we go to leave the event, the same lady ask, “how did you know that dog breed? You can’t casually give me that information and leave” So I respond: “I’m autistic, dog breeds are my special interest, I read a dog breed book everyday for six years, I love dogs!” 1/🧵

She was open to hearing what I had to say and didn’t get defensive but for everyone of these types of people I encounter I have 15 negative encounters! 7 小時內	theotherkristina	I literally just saw a reel with a guy and his “auntie” (him in a wig) where “she” says something about being disabled, he says “auntie, you’re supposed to say differently abled,” and “she” goes OFF about “Are you telling ME, a disabled person, how I myself am allowed to identify?” And I am now going to use that comeback forever in these situations. ❤️ 1/2
