It’s because you know his mom probably had to do and sacrifice a lot for him to get that position but he was more thankful to a gf who he met when he was already the top ranked player and bound for the nfl. Really weird to thank her first in a moment like that and even weirder that she’s always front row while his actual family be in the boxes and stuff. I just pray God reveals that girl’s true character cause she just very clearly did not want him before knowing he was nfl bound
