Honestly, I’m not sure about this take. First off, being anti-for profit systems and capitalism is definitely far left radicalism, not centrist. He was definitely more of a Bernie bro. I think society and pop culture is trying to pacify him as a revolutionary more than anything due to his conventionally attractive Eurocentric looks. I actually see more positive than negative takes of him. If it was a black or brown man, it would be over…. Look at all the other revolutionaries in history.
