Question if KL was super walkable like most European cities do you think most people would want to walk around the city, especially in the middle of the day when the sun is out, Or would most people still prefer to drive around 😅

Personally I wouldn’t want to walk around in our weather but maybe it’s okay if it’s a short distance, when the weather is not too hot or in the early morning/late in the day.

You need to visit Singapore and see how they made a hot and humid city walkable.

They need to emulate Singapore by having shaded walk paths. Either constructed shades or natural shades from planted trees in my honest opinion.

Stop using the weather as an excuse to make a city walkable. Singapore sebelah tu aja. Gi tgk dulu. Amazing what you can achieve when the government prioritises walkability for a city. And no, it’s not cause the cars are expensive. It’s intentionally made expensive so the roads don’t get clogged up which happens if everyone has the ability to own a car

You’ll be amazed by the people walking around TRX’s Raintree Plaza heading to their lunch place and running errands. It’s saddening that even the heart of KL it’s not pedestrian friendly at all.
