I wouldn't say dating is pointless, but maybe you need to expand your dating radius. Maybe the people in your immediate area aren't worth it but a few cities over there's someone for you. I think love is worth pursuing and it may be hard to deal with rejection, but the true end result is worth it when you find the right one. Good things in life require hard work and it'll always push you to places you don't want to go sometimes. Unfortunately that's just life.
