They had to keep Buick in order to keep their prestige in China. And let’s be honest. If Pontiac were still here they would be selling crappy crossovers. The only difference is they would have orange backlighting, a slightly firmer ride and lack the additional Buick sound deadening. Basically they would be American Mazda. Buicks at least fill a niche for folks who exclusively drive Domestics and want something better than a Chevy but not as ostentatious as a Cadillac.
