Terrible because he just passed away this morning and I can’t think of anything else.

Lost one of my dogs unexpectedly in Oct. I've found a new buddy for my remaining dog, but the grief for Rory is still pretty raw. She was only 6.5; my other dogs were either old or sick and I knew it was their time. This unexpected death is kicking my ass. Will it just take longer to process in this case? I'd like for the grief to be much less raw.

I lost my dog on Friday. I feel extreme guilt for not being a good parent and wonder if she has a good life with me.
