A majority support gun control (which is not the same as the route the UK and Australia took after our school shootings but still it's not nothing, and you wouldn't know from the media!), and there's a horrifying statistic that something like 95% of the guns are owned by about 10% of the population (I can't remember the exact figures but I think they're approximately right).
