At my son's school, if a student turns up late, even by 5 minutes, they're given a half hour detention and half a day absence mark. They were supposed to phone me at 9am to discuss his attendance. It's past 9.30 and still no call. Looks like they'll be getting a 30 minute detention and half a day absence mark from me. Oh the irony.

10 小時內	James Quinn howacre.jq	Get him to school on time. Sounds like you aren’t too good at getting him to school at all if you’re being contacted about his attendance. Take some parental responsibility. You have no concept of the disruption that pupil late coming causes.

Thank you to those who have responded regardless of whether it's been positive or negative. For those of you who assumed I'm a bad mother though. Walk a mile in my shoes and you'll understand how frustrating it is for me. I tried to physically drag my son out of bed once and got kicked in the face for my troubles. I spend at least an hour each day shouting him up and he refuses to get 1/2
