Today, in the care home, my mother didn’t recognise me or my sister. She couldn’t think how to answer me when I asked her if she was tired. Dementia has taken away my fiesty, funny mum and left me with a crushed, lost, little woman, struggling to make sense of her surroundings. She’s still alive but I feel orphaned.😢
