You are 100% RIGHT. Oprah & Gayle almost went to blows when they filmed their extensive & famous road trip. And they fought constantly. Remember Oprah's telling Gayle that she NEEDED silence because of her inner thoughts. And Gayle lashed out, "Well, EYE have thoughts, TOO." Gayle probably wanted to insert words like "Missy" & "Bitch" but she kept her composure.

The meaning of disagreement is not limited to ‘not in agreement’. Hope this helps.

I am 83 years old and never had a fight with my bff who I hooked up with in elementary school and attended the same undergrad U where she studied Medicine and I studied Physics. She lives in California and I spoke with her yesterday laughing about our high school days.

I think I took that to mean a serious falling out or argument not that they never disagreed or bickering. I saw the road trip. They bickered.

I think the spats they have, see that hilarious road trip radio scene, are not considered fights to them. They annoy each other but it’s not a big deal. When you’re truly confident and comfortable with your place in someone’s life you can say “you’re getting on my last nerve” and it doesn’t turn into a major row. I do this with my sissy and my best friend all the time. We laugh and move on.
