Was thinking about the AI job market a good bit at NeurIPS while talking to students. It's both 1. Higher noise (general state of chaos), and 2. Higher bias (everyone looking for people with existing large model experience) when compared to years ago. TLDR - people both applying and hiring are having a not great time.
