In my opinion, this is the opposite of spoiling them. Even short coated dogs usually want to go out and explore and get exercise. Just put a coat on them if they get cold. If it’s under 10 degrees then like yeah okay. But the majority of dogs are perfectly okay with and probably enjoy 50 degree weather.
