My coworker was complaining that his monitor was hurting his eyes so I came over to look at it and it’s flickering like crazy. So I said, “It’s no wonder, it looks like it’s having a seizure!” He was confused. He couldn’t see the flickering. So we called my boss in and HE couldn’t see the flickering. I had to video it on my phone and turn the brightness down so my phone camera would pick up the flickering and they were in awe that I had seen it without a camera. But it was so obvious to me!

2 小時內	mightycoz	Your brain “samples” your eyes at a frequency around 30Hz. This is why 15Hz is the minimum animation frame rate, 30 Hz is the minimum real-time frame rate, and 60 Hz is used to “smooth” video. Your particular brain/eye setup could be sampling above or below that frequency, so you’re observing a “beat” which causes the flicker. It’s the same phenomena as one instrument being sharp/flat when played against others.
2 小時內	Ed Ehrmann rtfmb	Are the lights in the office fluorescent? They flicker based on the electrical current’s cycles. The picture on the monitor is redrawn, or refreshed, at 60hz or 120hz (cycles.). Most people are not able to discern the blinking at 60hz but some are more sensitive. Especially if combined w a light source that is also blinking. You can increase the refresh rate of the monitor to solve the problem. I’ve been doing tech support since 1990. It was worse with the old non-flat screen monitors!
