Turns out that Eventbrite experiences a "general site inconvenience" that didn't payout a bunch of accounts. They're reprocessing my payout, which will ALLEGEDLY get to me on Thursday.

Always contact The Better Business Bureau, they respond immediately and will suddenly do the right thing.

People on here always have the best advice😑 what if this wasn’t a delay in a $5,500 payment, but an unexpected $5,500 bill. Or even half that. Most Americans say they couldn’t afford a $1,000 surprise event. Things like tires, birthdays and holidays have to be prepared for and it sounds like you did prepare for this, EB just didn’t pay. Idk your full situation but this sucks. All companies should have Chick-fil-ait service.

If the difference of 1k means you are overdrawn, it’s time to get better financial mgmt skills. This situation is your fault ultimately. Make an envelope budget spreadsheet, save 5% a week, or whatever you can. I used to work at a job where checks would bounce sometimes, I started doing what I just described and pretty soon I had enough to just pay myself an advance if a check didn’t clear.
