I’m seeing a lot of fluff pieces (likely PR astroturfed) claiming Musk’s X email service is a threat to Gmail…Like how? Where’s the demand for disruption in email services and where security is absolutely paramount, why would anyone trust someone as inconsistent as Musk with their emails? I can totally see this becoming a bot farm nightmare for email spam and Musk claiming he has a bazillion active users all saying the same thing to each other. (Kind of like Twitter these days)
