After discovering 364 letters of my father’s tour during WWII I turned them into a book.(All The News From Home) . I then donated everything to his home state war museum. Please find a home for this historic ephemera. It helps weave together all the details no matter how small to create the larger picture of this moment in time.

I am Brazillian and coincidentally going through old boxes of stuff that belonged to my father. So far I’ve found receipts from work done on a Jeep Willys he owned in the 90s, 2 posh looking knives, a bunch of old br currency, Argentinian pesos, a few dollars, old photography equipment and a pair of walkie talkies

My father-in-law was a flight instructor in the US Army Air Corps during WW2. He taught pilots to tow the gliders used on D-Day. He too, kept a trunk of flight logs and operating manuals, All stamped "TOP SECRET". We donated them to a local aviation historical society. Stationed at Bowman Field in Louisville, he met his future wife at a dance club just across the street, the aptly named Air Devils Inn. Both the ADI and the Bowman Field art-deco terminal building still survive.

What a beautiful find , I’d suggest his old raf regiment or unit perhaps?

Reminds me of my dad's old sea trunk. He was West African and served in the Merchant Navy, including in the Atlantic convoys during the War, and took it everywhere.

Thank you for sharing this with us!! Both my parents were in the RAF and met in early sixties while both stationed in Singapore. Mum is 85 and hanging in there but my Dad passed in 2019. Mum knows I get all the stuff they have from their time there. When Mum passes I am going to have a Tattoo of the badge for RAF Seleeta , the station in Singapore
