To expand on the idea of “shades of blue” which is obviously a little bit simple, think… fog/haze. Technically it’s a spectrum of moisture, yes, but because I’m an English speaker I’m going to pick one of the two words. A German-speaker has a third word for the middle of the spectrum, so they will be able to more concisely describe and therefore reason about that particular weather condition.
