Here’s some bad advice: get worse/louder pain somewhere else. For example, do your finger joints ache? Try getting kidney stones! Sore neck? Get abdominal surgery!

Do what you feel you have spoons for and pain allows. Lots of warm drinks and breaks when needed. Even if you’re not actively able to craft, doodling or jotting down ideas for future crafts can still be a way to feel productive

I have a hot water bottle for my lap that I rest my hands on while I'm crafting and beyond that I just hope that I get so interested in the crafting that the pain takes a back seat for a little while.

Positioning can make a huge difference. If I forget to put my medium hamster squishmallow under my left elbow I'm F*CKED. Try different means of support/braces/etc

Targeted physical therapy has helped. As long as you are clear on your limits. Also the sweet massages after!!!
