My granddaughter is in primary school. They recently had a Christmas concert. There were songs about Santa, Snowmen, Reindeer, Hanukkah, and Kwanza. The Hanukkah song was her favorite and was the only song I’d ever heard before. My class sang it in 1957. The lyrics of the Kwanza song were just the word ”Kwanza” repeated about 150 times. It was a mindless song. I guess it was an improvement over “Onward Christian Soldiers” that was sung at my daughter’s program in 1997.
