My husband ironed the tablecloths and set the table, for which I am grateful. I’m just glad I glanced at it before our guests arrived!

My husband would say it looks fine. At least the forks and knives are in the right position. 😉

So he tried and you're going to nit pick. Then we wonder why men don't bother. 🙄

We need to stop treating grown men like toddlers. "aww he set the table all by himself! ☺️ He chose a patterned dishcloth with patterned plates which hurts the eyes, placed the napkins and cutlery wrong, didn't bother to align the trees at all and had zero idea where the dessert plates should go but hey at least he tried! He's such a good boy, helping out in the house." Our standards for what we expect of men are entirely too low.

Honestly, I understand why people want to keep the plates aligned with the design or pattern—I'd do the same if I were setting them up. I'd probably complain, maybe even nag, and make my husband fix it to make it "right." But, on second thought, practically speaking, once we put all the food on the plate, it isn't going to matter. I guess we should sometimes let go and learn to just enjoy the little things - the company and the efforts!

I spend ages looking at this picture, wondering if this post complimented or complained about the husband's table setup 😅.

Hilarious! My husband can build a spectacular house board by board but make a neat bed? Nope.
