No, she’s not 🙄 Listen to ‘For Good’ again and then try and analyse what ‘now it’s up to you’ means and imagine how you would feel, if somebody dropped the responsibility for an entire traumatized population’s well being onto your shoulders and then leaves you to walk into their own happily ever after. All while you believe they and the man you thought you’d marry have died gruesome deaths, sounds like a fun future, doesn’t it.

she’s A villain, not THE villain. i don’t get why people are so keen to blame any college aged character- glinda, nessa, boq, whatever- for the actions of the grown adults who corrupted oz and its people. the wizard, mme morrible, & gov. thropp are all FAR more villainous than the young people dealing with the fallout of the actions of the adults in power

Glinda is a product of her environment. Does she have issues, sure, but she is not THE villain, the wizard is lol, did y’all even watch the movie.

I hate the word villain, it makes it sound like she is bad. Shes not she has her own vision and own prowes. If she went with elphaba she would be useless. If she goes with the wizard she can do what she needs to do. Everyone that calles her a villain just doesnt understand good writing

Not everyone can make a difference by radicalizing. Everyone has their part in a revolution and someone has to stick close to the systems in play to change them. Ultimately Glinda does a lot of the work to bring peace to oz, work that elphaba struggles to do. They are different and their strategies have to be different.

This is the problem with having a whole year between act 1 and 2. “For Good” quite literally spells it out and the conversations on who is or isn’t a villain is weird to have halfway through a story
