Unfortunately malaysian don’t normalize saying thanks to people holding door for you. Instead walk through the door with snob face as if they feel proud people holding door for them. Takes 2 sec to stop and say thanks. Manners guys.

Yeah my husband (american) used to open doors for people in Malaysia and then he realised some malaysians are a-holes. So he stopped. 😅

But you know what I do every time I encounter this kind of attitude? I thank myself for being kind. Sometimes, the person overhears me saying 'thank you' to myself, and they end up saying 'thank you' as well. Some people just need to learn a lesson because they lack emotional intelligence.

Well that is simply because holding the door itself is not a normal thing here in Malaysia 💩

Oh i would definitely say thanks to gentlemen, ladies and children who hold the door for me. I see them very often. Thank you guys. Really make my day even that particular day is a cloudy one. And i usually get thanks from most people, and i would just close one eye if a few dont.
