But that is unfair to blame the unvaaxxed. my son caught pertussis at age 3 from another vaxxed child in daycare along with 2 more kids. All vaccinated. The original child got it from their parent who was up to date on her boosters. So it doesnt prevent transmission. Only helps lessen the symptoms. Your baby was too young to get the shots but any adult or child who has a cough can pass this to an infant.
