You should be allowed to call in and say "I have barely had four hours' sleep and I cannot vouch for my ability to be professional and therefore feel I should be excused today rather than risk bringing [employer] into disrepute". And then you can have permission to go back to bed rather than have to drag yourself out and pretend to be a functioning human for eight hours
