I had my kid at 26 going on 27. I'm so happy my kid will be graduating high school in my mid 40s. 😁

She’s probably in a social circle where women have kids mid 30s. Career women/highly educated.

I was 18 when I had my first and now I’m 32 I feel like my body is 72 😂

I mean I’m 28 and feel unprepared for motherhood. Stop rushing women into getting married and giving birth. The timeline on family building is imaginary. We need to do things on our own time. 27 is still a very young age. And due to the student debt crisis and the state of the economy many of us NEED to wait.

27 is not "basically 30"...

I was definitely considered old in my family at 26 . I took my mom saying finish college before kids quite literally had a kid one year to the date after graduation 

Thank you! We need to stop normalizing this behavior. After 24 you shouldn’t be considered young anymore lol to be having babies. You’re in your mid twenties. People who had kids later in life often seem to think it’s the right way for everyone.. and it’s not. I know people who by 27 already have two kids. And people who didn’t have their first till 34 .. everyone has different life circumstances and matures at a different rate so we need to stop saying there’s only one right age frame.

If you can get pregnant whenever you start your period, which for some girls can be as early as like 12, then yeah I’d say a decade and a half later isn’t young. Saying you had a kid at 18 to like 22 is young.
