Why did Vi join the enforcers? A thread (1/3) I was under the impression that it was understood that Vi joined the enforcers because she felt guilty about creating jinx which in turn made her feel responsible for Cassandra’s death, which is why she joined the enforcers. But I thought about Maddie’s introduction scene when she tells Vi that Cait stood up for her to get her a badge&wondered if that was the turning point for what made Vi join the enforcers… cuz cait wants her around&she❤️Cait

一分鐘內	arcane5ever	(2/3) So I rewatched, but the actual turning point is when Cait tells Vi “every way I slice it, if I go after your sister alone. One of us comes back in a box. It’s all coming apart” after the attack on the her mothers memroial. Cait is confused, frustrated, sad, struggling and Vi can’t stand to see the people she loves in pain. She always feels like she has to fix everyone’s else’s problems and ignore her own.
16 小時內	Easy_as_1662 easy_as_1662	I've thought about this a lot too, here is my thinking: 1. Vi wants to save Zaun When Vi gets out of stillwater, she sees that so much has changed. Shimmer has ravaged the streets, Silco is running things etc. with Jayce, she is able to put a dent in Silcos shimmer production. Piltover, the enforcer badge etc comes with powerful privileges that will actually allow her to make real change.

By being an enforcer - she's close enough to influence Cait Just before Cait and Vi go after Jinx, Vi asks Cait specifically to leave the other enforcers behind under the guise of "she will smell them from a mile away". Cait realised this but allowed it being confident in her own shooting abilities.

For the plot - She's making the wrong choice for the right reasons The writers have made it clear that this is the messaging they wanted to get across throughout the show Doing the right things for the wrong reasons Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons It's a key aspect of all the character arcs and this is just an example of it. They knew Vi (lol) always becomes an enforcer and wanted to craft a story of how a Zaunite could end up here.
