The cashier called a manager over and she said because it wasn’t purchased there that she couldn’t do anything about it. She said I needed to go back to the store in which it was purchased. It was a gift so I don’t know where it was purchased and I feel awkward about approaching my friend about it.

幾秒內	Erin Ramsey youresuchacatch	I’ve called customer service 5xs now. Once in the store and 4xs after the incident. It’s only $50 but it feels a way since I myself didn’t damage it. I think the fact I’m being treated as if I did something wrong is what really bothers me AND it has become a matter of principle. I do have the receipt and activation notice for the card (it was taped to it).

I would file the police report, specifically on the cashier & manager. They should have immediately corrected the issue. That is why Nordstrom is telling you to file the report. Corporate office probably thinks that you’re lying even though you clearly aren’t.
