My first electric guitar, a Les Paul copy from RJ Guitars, was a Christmas gift from my mother in 2009. In 2010, I saw a fake Fender Strat for 14k pesos. It was tempting, but I passed. Years later, as a uni sophomore, I saved all semester to buy my first real Fender: a Strat HSS made in Mexico. Since then, I’ve traded and upgraded, always chasing the perfect guitar.
